HOC PROTECTORE TUTUS• / SENAT•ET XVI•VIRI STAT• / EX TER•BERN• / 1776• Armored bear standing left, drawing sword with his right hand and holding shield on his left arm; before to left, monkey seated left on lobster, holding mirror in his right hand and apple in his left. Rev. AD UTRUMQUE PARATUS Laureal wreath around crossed sword and scepter. SM 639. Lightly toned and sharp. Very light marks, otherwise, good extremely fine.
